The desk during construction
carcase
The gallery opened July 19, 2005 this photo shows how the desk needed to fit into a tight space behind a flat file in the immediate foreground, a section of wall to the left and windows on the rear wall of the building with everything together the pieces in the area work well together.

This is a desk Built for the Les Fauves Art Gallery in downtown Schuylerville, New York.  I was asked to design a desk that would fit in a space at the end of a hallway between an air duct and the end wall.  The duct came out from the wall approximately 13 inches; this was used to define the depth of the desk.  A curved front creates beautiful curved draw fronts and makes the desk appear/feel larger.  Behind the desk is a shelf unit that fits into an old window opening that is no longer in use.
