Willys Whippet Engine and Transmission |

Engine has been sold, however I will leave the pictures for reference
From what I can see the engine has seen some moisture or outright water coming in from the exhaust, this is consistant with the up-turned exhaust elbow, I suspect the engine was used to run a sawmill which was located on the property where it was found. The engine seems like a good candidate for a rebuild, no obvious signs that it has been bored, no obvious cracks. The only real damage seems to be from rust in cylinder one, the exhaust valve there is stuck due to rust. I suppose it will free up with some oil & care. With #1 cyland the tappets removed so #1 exhaust valve isn't being forced open, the engine turns smoothly, (after being cleaned up a bit cyl#1 seems to move fine in its bore, but it will need to be honed or, bored before being put into service).
